Last Months Dictionary is Outdated Now, but Don't Buy a New One

I was surfing through the Merriam-Webster online dictionary this morning (a rather odd habit, but something I enjoy doing) and discovered this:

Definition of MARRIAGE

1 a (1) : the state of being united to a person of the opposite sex as husband or wife in a consensual and contractual relationship recognized by law (2) : the state of being united to a person of the same sex in a relationship like that of a traditional marriage

The definition of marriage is now different. M-W made the change shortly after NY became the 6th state to legalize gay marriage.
