They got everything moved pretty fast, but then they stayed for over an hour afterwards just hanging out....which was fun. And unusual because we usually never have people at our house on a weeknight.
On Tuesday, it was soup night at my Grandma's and we threw my Grandpa a surprise 80th birthday. So there were a few elderly people there who were friends of his. Well, after supper, about 8:00, this one old guy stands up, and then collapses! His eyes rolled back and everything. I thought for sure he had had a heart attack, and we called 911, but then after a minute he came to, and the paramedic on the phone said that was a good sign. So we said they didn't need to come after all, and it turned out that was good because after a few minutes he felt better. Turns out that is what happens to him when he gets dehydrated....its happened once before....so I hope that he drinks a lot of water from now on! At least he didn't hit his head when he fainted.
For once, I am proud of our governor! There were these two girls (they were literally not more than 23) who ran an orphanage in Haiti. It was wrecked during the quake, so they and their 54 orphans were living in the courtyard. They had very little supplies. But a couple days ago, and anonymous donor paid to get them out of there! However they ran into legal technicalities, and Governor Rendell stepped in to help. All 54 kids are now in the Pittsburg hospital, even though they don't have visas or anything. And the 47 that have identified adoptive parents will united soon (some already have). The other 7 kids are going to be put into the foster system. So that is a happy ending for a few children! But there are still hundreds of thousands more.....
